Syngene GeneGnome
E12-83
The GeneGnome5 is dedicated to chemiluminescence imaging. This system is built for high performance and automation. A very simple
set-up process means a single ‘click’ will automatically capture a quality image of any blot using the integral cooled high resolution CCD
camera.
Western blot imaging has never been so easy than with the GeneGnome5. The system automatically selects the right imaging conditions
for any blot irrespective of the chemiluminescent reagents being used. All chemiluminescence applications can easily be handled by the
GeneGnome5 and can produce superb images even from the faintest of signals.
The compact instrument sits on any laboratory bench taking up very little space. The integral processor means that no external computer is
required for capture or analysis.
The system comes complete with unlimited copies of GeneTools analysis software.

Microdoc Gel Documentation System
E12-22
The microDOC is the researcher’s choice for a simple ultra-compact gel documentation system that meets constraints in both budget and
space within the laboratory. A large 8” TFT screen enables images to be captured in colour, clearly and easily. The system is computer-
free and supplied with a 2MB storage card and 58mm ethidium bromide filter as standard, while an optional SYBR filter is also available.
Files are saved in RAW, TIFF-RGB or JPEG formats for analysis with the TotalLab™ 1D software.
14.7 Megapixel digital CCD camera
Light weight compact hood with easy access door and built-in inner lights
Safety switches disconnect the UV source when the easy access door is opened
Computer-free operation
Available on its own with camera and darkroom, or as a complete gel documentation system with transilluminator, either
with or without software
Printer
The Mitsubishi P93 is a high speed, high resolution thermal printer that is perfectly suited to printing images directly from the microDOC.
Connected to the microDOC by a BNC cable, the Mitsubishi P93 prints 325dpi images, up to 133 x 99mm in size. Thermal printer paper
is also available.
microDOC BASIC
The microDOC BASIC is a simple low-cost system comprising a lift-off dark room hood and 14.7 megapixel digital camera, through
which the gel is viewed directly. This system can be supplied with optional TotalLab 1D Analysis Software and any one of the 21 x 21
cm transilluminators available.
TotalLab™ 1D software
TotalLab™ 1D software is supplied only as part of a complete package with each of the microDOC and transilluminator options. Its main functions include: lane creation, background
subtraction, band detection, profile deconvolution, and molecular size, pI and quantity calibration. More sophisticated TotalLab™ Quant and Phoretix standalone software options are
available for 1D applications that require band matching.
